City League Update - Feb 22 Night
February 22, 2011 Tonight (Feb 22) is another 'Round Robin Night'! Both courts will be utilized with all four teams playing at once. City Leaguers, please arrive at 7:30pm and we will start the games shortly after that. Sports Funder Travel Grant Available
February 21, 2011 BC Wheelchair Sports is pleased to be able to offer the BCWSA Athlete Travel Assistance Program. This program is funded with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts and in conjunction with the new SportsFunder lottery program. The intention of the program is assist youth (18 years and younger) and developmental athletes (*see definition in the info sheet) in the cost of travel to attend designated events in the province. read more...

Team BC Heading to Halifax for Canada Winter Games
February 09, 2011 Wheelchair Basketball Team BC is ready and all pumped to go into Halifax on February 10th. The team has been preparing for the games since this summer, having several training camps and competing in Division 2 league against adult club teams. Some of the older athletes including team co-captains Avril Harris and Deion Green have been competing in Division 1 as well in which national team and provincial athletes compete. The experience in the higher league for sure prepared them for the heated games expected in Halifax. read more...

Kamloops Tournament Results
February 04, 2011 The Canada Games team was back in action this past weekend in Kamloops, competing against three other BC –CWBL Division II teams: the Breakers, Kamloops and Kelowna. Division I Douglas College Teams To Compete Calgary Team in Langley
February 04, 2011 BC-CWBL Division I teams play against each other as well as agaist a team from Calgary this weekend at Trinity Western University in Langley. Each team will play four games over the weekend (6 games overall). Douglas College Lions is leading the season against Royals so far. However the season goes into the second phase with Royals adding two new players, Shelley Chaplin and Erik Hagreen, which would for sure make the competitions even more heated. read more...

January 31, 2011 From Wheelchair Basketball Canada Website (Ottawa, ON) – Wheelchair Basketball Canada is pleased to announce the names of the 12 athletes who will represent Canada at the 2011 Parapan American Games slotted for November 12-20, 2011 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
