12th Annual Dribble on Wheels Basketball Camp - Seattle
August 23, 2011 Seattle Adaptive Sports will be hosting their 12th Annual Dribble On Wheels Basketball Camp from September 17 - 18, 2011. This camp is open to 3 year olds to adults with a physical disabilty. Matt Buchi, University of Illinois alumnus and USA women's team assisstant coach, leads the camp with other experienced coaches. NBA Jam Session Coming To Vancouver August 20-21, 2011
August 17, 2011 Wheelchair Basketball Canada is thrilled to participate in the NBA Jam Session taking place the weekend of August 20-21, 2011 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza in Vancouver, BC. Basketball fans are invited to learn the basics of the sport through an interactive wheelchair basketball clinic and witness some of the skill and athleticism on display courtesy of some notable talent in a demonstration game, both taking place on Saturday. read more...
Team Canada Places Fourth at First-Ever Women's U25 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships
July 25, 2011 (St. Catharines, ON) Great Britain defeated Team Canada 62-42 last Thursday, July 21, in the bronze medal game at the inaugural Women’s U25 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships at Brock University in St. Catharines, ON. The hometown Canadians finished fourth in the tournament. With the bronze medal on the line, both teams went back-and-forth on the scoreboard as each tried to establish the early edge to open the heated contest. Langley Gold Rush Program Concluded With Success
June 08, 2011 Langley Gold Rush Wheelchair Basketball's pilot program concluded last Thursday, June 2nd. Attendance for the program at Alex Hope Elementary in Walnut Grove was strong and players from the area are eager to have the program stay here in Langley.
