Here are some suggestions on how you can become a better shooter: HAVE A ROUTINE: Having a routine includes how you warm up prior to practices and games. You should have a foul shooting routine. All-Comers Festival Is Back on Nov 5
October 19, 2011 The second All-Comers Festival will be hosted by BCWBS and Bridging The Gap on November 5th at Douglas College in New Westminster. Whether you are new to the sport or have been playing for years, come out to the 2011 All-comers Wheelchair Basketball Fall Festival for an afternoon of games and skill competitions. Exciting Kick-Off of Division 2 League at Kelowna Tournament
October 18, 2011 This past weekend (October 15 & 16), Okanagan Thunder hosted a "season kick-off" BC-CWBL Division 2 tournament at Constable Neil Bruce Middle School in Kelowna. The tournament saw Victoria come away undefeated. Tacoma was a close second. The most competitive game was the Victoria vs. Tacoma game where Jose from Tacoma dazzled with his speed. Shooting Camp Report
October 11, 2011 Douglas College was the sight of a shooting camp for our members September 24th. The shooting camp was attended by a variety of athletes, with the morning session focused on the up-and-coming players of the future, and the afternoon attended by athletes who are already competing at the provincial level. Athletes received detailed shooting analysis by some highly skilled coaches with elite able-bodied experience. read more...

Canada's Best Showcase Their Skills at West Coast Classic 2011
October 03, 2011 On September 9th thru 11th, five of Canada’s best teams (Men's National Team, Men's Jr National Team, Team Quebec, and two teams from BC) and many of Canada’s top players were able to showcase their talents at the Richmond Olympic Oval for the 2011 Version of the West Coast Classic. This is an able bodied tournament in its third year. Last year, wheelchair basketball had a demonstration of the sport, and this year, BCWBS and tournament organizers set their sights on having a full blown tournament which also included a referee clinic. read more...
