DIVISION I and II Trinity Western University / Richmond Olympic Oval Nov 26-28
November 19, 2010 This coming weekend will see the second hit out for the division II teams for this season. It will have been five weeks since the last round of division II games which saw Victoria and Breakers at the top of the table, so this weekend’s game look set to be hotly contested. Also amongst the division II action the Royals and the Lions will battle it out in another Division I show-down. Last time the teams played each other, the Douglas College Lions were victorious in both games so everyone will be looking to the Royals to see what they can do to combat the Lions. read more...

November 18, 2010 Are you ready to get active and have a ton of fun? BC Wheelchair Basketball and Douglas College are excited to offer the BCWBS - Tim Frick Winter 2011 City League. The lower mainland City League will consist of 9 weekly game nights, where new players, older juniors, and some seasoned retirees can develop their game skills and have some competitive fun! The Winter ’11 City League will be hosted at Douglas College, in New Westminster on Tuesday evenings. The structure of the league will include nightly skill sessions and games. read more...

November 10, 2010 The junior players (8-24 years old) from across province will be competing in the 11th Anual Junior Wheelchair Bsketball Challenge this weekend. BCWBS and the leadership class at Hugh McRoberts Secondary School will be hosting our junior players including our weekly junior program participants, Canada Games team athletes, and all other young wheelchair basketball enthusiasts in Richmond. Learning Facilitators and Introduction to Competition Coaching Clinic 2010
October 27, 2010 October 22-24 was a big weekend for potential coaches and coaching facilitators from across Canada. 12 candidate coaches signed up to learn more about wheelchair basketball and five current coaches jumped at the opportunity to learn from the best at Douglas College in New Westminster, BC. Division ONE 2010-11 draft completed & teams ANNOUNCED!
October 27, 2010 Division I is set to see some hot competition this season with just two teams competing to be the best in B.C !! Coach Cheryl Corrigan and Joe Higgins along with the Division I Commissioner, Carrie Linegar sat down on September 29 to build their respective teams in the 2010-11 Div I draft. “The draft is a great idea; it’s an awesome way to put your team together.
