BC Winter Games
Event Information
Every two years, the BC Games Society stages the BC Winter Games in rotating host cities across BC. The purpose of these Games is "To provide an opportunity for the development athletes, coaches, and officials in preparation for higher levels of competition in a multi-sport event which promotes interest and participation in sport and sporting activities, individual achievement and community development." These Games give young, developoing athletes the opportunity to improve their skills, while learning to deal with the excitement, triumphs and defeat of participating in a major multi-sport event and is a potentioal stepping stone to the Canada Winter Games. The BC Games Society makes it easy to participate by organizing charter transportation, accommodation, meals, and entertainment, all for a minimal registration fee. Competitors must also be current members of the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society.
