The Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) and BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) are pleased to be hosting the 2009 Americas Cup, a Men’s America Zone qualification tournament for World Championships in 2010 (Birmingham, England), from August 23 – 30, 2009 at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

The countries competing for the three qualifying spots are; Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, Venezuela and the United States.

We are in need of volunteers for the event! The positions that are looking to be filled include:

  • Transportation
  • Food Service
  • Merchandise/Information
  • Court Operation
  • Registration
  • Scorekeeping
  • Access Control
  • Office Support
  • Gym Set-up/Take-down
  • Other

No experience is necessary and time commitment can be as little as 2 hours!
