With a close semi final win over Saskatchewan (71-68) on Saturday May 5, 2018 in Martensville, SK, Team BC knew it was going to be a tough game, in a re-match of the 2017 CWBL Gold Medal Game against the Parasport Quebec Gladiateurs.
 
Throughout every round-robin game and especially the Semi-Final match, Team BC definitely came to play. We count on all 9 players to play at their best, as they have been in the 5 previous games. Coming out of the round robin with a record of 2-2, Team BC definitely upped their level of intensity to pull out an evenly matched game against home team, Saskatchewan Green in the semi-finals to advance to Sunday's final.
 
This gold medal game promised to bring fast action, a high level of skill, and plenty of buckets, from this talented group of athletes from both clubs. The teams did not disspoint the fans. All of us at BCWBS are proud of the way the team played this weekend and througout the season. Team BC is comprised of Bo Hedges (Fort St. John), RIchard Peter (Vancouver) , Aidan Love (Victoria), Stuart Olsen (Seattle), Ben Hagkull (Chilliwack), Alphonsus To (Vancouver), Bryan Shore (Kelowna), Tara Llanes (Vancovuer) and Ivan Yeung (Vancouver) and are coached by BC Provincial Head Coach, SImon Cass (Victoria).

 
Congratulations to Team BC athletes Aidan Love and Bo Hedges for being named as tournament All-Stars.
