Due to ongoing and evolving concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), BC Wheelchair Basketball Society have cancelled the 2020 BC-CWBL Finals, to be hosted March 14 and 15, 2020 at the Richmond Oval.

The planned 2019 Annual Awards Banquet, March 14, will be postponed at this time, with additional information to come in the following weeks on the status of rescheduling this event on a later date.

In addition, BCWBS will also be cancelling current BCWBS run events, planned and scheduled, for the month of March 2020. The status of BCWBS events for April 2020 and beyond are still on the calendar and we will continue to take every precaution in our decision to move them forward in coming days and weeks.

In the meantime, we at BCWBS believe it is important to be proactive in our decisions to cancel and post-pone events and will work with our member clubs, regions and athletes to make smart decisions. We will closely monitor the situation and all available information from public health officials. The health and safety of our members, communities and families is our topmost priority.
